Hi, All. Happy 5th
of July!!
Tom and Paris are
still working on the location for the turkey dinner, but they have booked a few
things including the hotel room block. Pam suggested The Roosevelt Hotel, and
she was right. It’s perfect!
The Roosevelt Hotel
New York

We have a room
block that is open for Tuesday thru Sunday, but you can book whatever days you
want. The parade is Thursday morning, turkey is Thursday evening (obviously),
we have dinner Friday at Jing Fong’s in Chinatown, and we will plan some sort of
breakfast for Saturday morning. If you like to be digital, here is the link to
book online:
If you prefer to
call, use “Janson Family Room Block” to access the group rate. The breakfast
buffet is not included but I know we Moores will be signing up for that.
This is going to be
fun!!!

Hello!
Very excited!
In order to get an
idea of what to do on Friday, I’ve put together this survey for y’all to fill
out at your leisure.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdSDyiPMqWx6TXG_yOVckRGSYf3b2wDx_nYZHdHsEEUystVnw/viewform
It’s a fairly
reduced list, but I am open to suggestions! Some things were left off due to
logistical issues (travel, black Friday mayhem, etc.).
Let me know if
there are any questions!

GENERAL INFO
HOTEL:
Roosevelt
Hotel (45 E 45th St, New York, NY 10017)
THANKSGIVING DINNER:
Costs $65 per person and includes wine and other drinks.
CLOTHING:
Wear
GOOD, COMFY SHOES. No need for formal wear at any of the events/meals. New York
dresses a little more conservatively than most places, generally speaking, but
no one will look at you funny if you’re not decked-out in the hottest of F/W
2018 garb ;)
TRAVEL:
with the exception of getting from the airports to the hotel, Subway is always
the best way to get around, except for maybe late at night. A single fare on the
metro is $2.75, and it costs $1 to buy a card. Considering the itinerary above,
I’d suggest everyone buy a metro card on their own time on Wednesday night and
put about $20-$30 on it. There’s also an unlimited weekly card for about $35
that would work and would make sense if you plan on doing some of your own
exploring.
